As part of my "Summer of doing things for me" I have decided to review my readings. As you can see below I am part of the summer reading challenge. The first book that I read was a classic book by Jodi Picoult My Sister's Keeper. I would have to say that this was one of the best books by Picoult that I have read. I really do enjoy her style of writing, where she writes from multiple character's perspectives, but she did an extraordinary job in this novel. Her character work was outstanding. I particularly enjoyed her character work with the older brother Jessie. She made him such an interesting character and a great addition to the main story line. I think I connected to this because I see everyday how student react to the various situations in their life. I also loved the ending. I of course won't give that away here, but it was a classic twist Picoult ending.

I think the best part about a snow day is the needed day off you get. And it's better then knowing that you already have a day off because it's not something you knew about before. Another part i love is sleeping in. Before my mother would wake me up and tell me there's a snow day, so then i couldnt get back to sleep. But now she doesnt wake me up and i find out when i do wake up that we have a day off!
I love snow days! I think my favorite part of having a snow day is you get a day off from school to just relax and not worry about anything! Also, I get to sleep in which is cool! I used to sleep with a spoon under my pillow because that was a superstition that you'd get the day off, but it didn't work so i stopped! (:

i love just the feeling of your parents not waking you up that morning and they come into your room and tell you, "no school" and you just sleep for the hours that you may have missed the night before doing homework. i love having mix ups in my schedule for my benefit. its fabulous:)
I love snowdays too!! It's always soo nice when my mom doesn't come in my room at 6:00am to wake me up and then I always wake up at around 9:00am and look outside my window and smile. Snowdays are always just a nice needed break. I can't complain.
The best thing about snowdays are they always come when I really need them to. For example they always seem to happen when I have a project or a paper that I am not completely prepared for is due. This is great because I have an extra day to work on the assignment and also getting extra hours of sleep is not horrible either. However I dont really enjoy sleeping late on snowdays since I do not want to waste the whole day of freedom.
the best things about snow days is that they are unplanned and unexpected! i love them! who cares that days get added on to the end of the year! the end of the school years sooo easy and chill anyways! winters when you really need all the va-k tou can get!
For the most part I enjoy snowdays because it is a nice little break that isn't always expected. However, I have grown to not like the snow as much and snowdays ususally mean that I have to go out and shovel it which is the stinky part. I also don't like when I don't have a binder I need for a class because I planned on doing a certain assignment the next day. Otherwise I like snowdays because that means I can just relax and won't have basketball practice that day which is always nice once in awhile.
the best part of a snow day for me is i get time to relax...no school and no work because i obviously dont have work during school hours! i really do love snow days, their so rewarding! :)
what i love about snow days is that it normally forces me to stay home because of the roads which is something i normally wouldnt do on a day off. i can stay at home and get a lot of things done that i normally would put off to go out with my friends. i like being able to sit around and actually enjoy being alone at home because normally my parents have to go to work on snow days.
we rly need another big storm to hit and get another day off school...a friday would be sick. planning to take a trip up to VT for boarding wen we get some nice powder, conditions have been pretty bad lately :/
I get SOOOO excited when I find out we don't have school. Especially when i hoped for it the night before and didn't do my homework, haha. On snow days I either like to hang out with my friends or just stay home and pretty much be a bum. I like to watch TV, sit at the computer, all that stuff that I don't really get to do as much on the weekends since I have usually to work.
my favorite things about snowdays, is that i get ot go out and work snowplowing. i like this because i get paid good, and in cash. even though the work is a little tough, its all worth it at the end when i get paid.
I think the best part about snow days is when you wake up tired and have the luxury of going back to sleep until whenever you want. It's like an unexpected day off that you don't miss anything on like you would an absence. It kinda stinks if your snowed in and can't see anyone or go anywhere but its nice if you hear rumors of a snow day you can make plans to be snowed in with someone good or something fun to do. I always go to blockbuster the night before an expected snow day and stock up on snacks and movies- just in case.
i love snow days, especially when they extend the week-end. i feel hat if its going to be cold, there might as well be snow. i also like taking my little cousins sledding. getting to sleep in is definitely the best part!
The best thing about a snow day is that its so unexpected, rather than a school vacation your just waiting for. Even though it adds days on at the end of the year, it doesn't really matter cause you don't do anything on the last days of school. When missing a snow day, you could miss a hard day of schoolwork that you were just lucky enough to have off.
i pesonaly do not like snow day because i can't do anythihg special on snow day because i don't aware of whether we going to have snow day or not. i don't like it, because of snow days, our summer vacation gets short.
The best part of snow days is basically the snow. I love it how when you look at it, it makes you feel so calm and light. Snow days for other people might be good because they get to sleep in but for me no matter what time or what day it is i get up at a certain time. However the day off from school does feel good.
i don't do anything special to hope for a snow day but i like them because it is just a break from the everyday schedule and get to have a break. as childish as it may sound i love to go sledding. sledding is one of my favorite pastimes on a snow day.

Actually I always hope we get a two hour delay rather than a snow day. Personally I want to graduate asap and these snow days just mean we have to come to school even longer.
The best part about a snow day is being able to just sleep in late. Waking up early 5 days awake really does take a toll on your body and how you perform, so having that one day to catch up really can make a difference in how you function in school, and at work as well. The bad part about a snow day is having school off but still having to go to your job!
i like snow days because they are a mental health day that the school gives you. schedualed days off aren't as fun because they aren't a surprise. my mom doesnt wake me up for snow days anymore, so when i wake up at like 10 and i see it snowing outside i get really excited. when i was in middle school i used to wear my pajamas inside out because of a silly idea that you get a snow day that way :]
to me i think snow days are the best...i love them bcuz u can just sleep in, wake up and eat some real brekfast fro once and just relax. Usually our snow days are false alarms so you can just get in you car and go have fun for the day, but even if they're not, you can still stay home with your family or that special someone and just have fun!
i also am i big fan of snowdays. when there is a snowday i uually end up oing homework that i neglected to do the night before. i also sleep in a little bit. but even with snow days i always have work so my day is usually cut in half. but i enjoy my job (most of the time) although it can be a pain in the butt.
i love snow days even though i hate the cold & snow. but its just nice to have a surprise day off and hang around the house with my little brother and sister.But its also nice to spend the day with my mom, who i dont get to see much because she work at hartford hospital and she works from 3:30 to midnight. I dont really do much, i just kick back and enjoy the day off with the people i love.

On snow days for me I just sleep as late as I can. Once I wake up maybe I will go out with my little cousins and play in the snow. When I was little I used to go to Washington Park in New Britain and go sledding. It was so much fun because the hills are really big and steep.
I think that the best part about a snow day is that we get the day off and get to sleep in! Lately i have actually been able to get alot of work done when i stay home. This past snow day we had i got 17 scholarships done! yayyy :) but for the amount that we have had, i really dont want to graduate in july! haha. so i think im all tired out with getting snow days, i would just like to finish off the year and finally graduate! :)
Im not really a big fan of snowdays. Sure I like to have 1 or 2 snowdays but I hate it when we have like 6 because we have to make up those days during the summer when its nice and warm out.
My favorite part of a snow day is being able to stay home and sleep in. I also really enjoy the way the first startings of snow looks. When its night time and it first starts to snow, its stunning.
During snow days i have hopes to getting all my work done and catching up on all the things ive missed.
Like most people, I LOVE snowdays! It is great to get an unexpected day off from school, especially on a Friday or Monday. It's great to be surprised in the morning that school has been canceled but what I HATE is thinking that there will be a snowday and it does not happen the next day! On my snowdays I enjoy either hanging out with friends or just sitting home, in front of the computer or T.V. and just realxing all day. It feels great!
The best thing about snow days is that you can sleep in late, lounge around in your pjs all day and just spend the day home. I also do enjoy going outside and either helping my family shovel or make snowmen. I love taking my dog out into the snow and have her run around because she loves to jump around and play in the snow. Winter is my favorite season except for when there is too much snow, than i want spring :)
With snow days, I enjoy staying home. However, I don't like them that much because then we have to make them up at the end of the year. Also, I never sleep in on snow days and I get up at the same time as I would for school. Therefore, I don't sleep in which doesn't make snow days as special as a day off from school would. But I do like to see the snow falling, especially during the holiday season.
i think the best part about snows days are just staying home and relaxing. You get to stay home with your family if not your borthers and sisters, eat , and watch tv or movies all day ! I dont know about you but thats one of my favortie things to do when i get to stay home and relax. Plus you dont have to worry about any school work or going to work if its too bad out :]

I think the best part about snow days is being able to go back to sleep after you just find out the schools are closed for the day. Then you can use the rest of the day to do work you havent had time to do or if you already did your homework the night before, you get a day off from everything and can relax.
The best part of a snow day is not expecting it and being able to sleep in. When its the weekends we know that we dont have school in the mornings but most of the time i have to go to work. Yet, if its a snow day i can sleep all day. Also i enjoy the snow, it may be silly but i love going outside with my little cusins and stuff to have snowball fights and build snowmen, its the best, its like being 10 again. haha
I enoy snow days a lot because they are a day for everyone to just relax. sometimes school can become really overwhelming with tests, homework, and sometimes eventhe people in it. When an enexpected snow day arrives, it gives me a much needed break from all the stress at achool. i know that is what the weekends are for, but most weekends all i do it work. When there is a snow day, i just stay in my pajamas and relax all day, it is the best!
I love snow days because its my favorite thing to curl up inside with my puppy and a cup of hot chocolate and just stay there all day. I also love just the exciting feeling you feel when you turn on the TV at 630 am and see your school right there. It feels great to crawl up right back under the covers! Plus, who doesn't love not having classes?
Snow days are the best. I usually baby sit on them, which is fun, because I have an excuse to go out and make snowmen and go sledding. Also it's nice to get a day off from school. But towards the end of the winter, like after February I get sick of snow and snow days.
